Unless you live under a rock, or have no friends on Facebook there is no way that you have not heard about this show from someone. John Corabi will make his presence in Kansas City for one night only on January 27th, 2012 with a lot of great bands around him.
Local concert promoter, Thomas Caprefoli who owns KC Productions Live has assembled an event, not just another concert, to bring the 500 person venue known as Aftershock to full capacity. To celebrate KC Productions Live’s 1st Anniversary party, Caprefoli chose to bring in Corabi to headline the event. Opening for Corabi is Unwritten Rulz, Looks That Kill (Motley Crue tribute band), and Syn City Cowboys. There will also be an afterparty featuring Drek that is included with the ticket price. Doors open at 7pm, and the show will continue to about 1:30am including the afterparty.
John Corabi is most known for being the frontman of Motley Crue for 5 years when Vince Neil was asked to leave the band. Corabi was later forced out of Motley Crue by the record label when the suits demanded that Neil be reinstated to the band. Corabi beyond the frontman spot has a long list of accomplishments through his music career including playing with Union, Scream, being the guitarist for Ratt, and most currently has a CD about to release titled “John Corabi Unplugged”.
Tickets to the show are $15 each, and can be purchased through StubWire here. At last check with the venue the show is approaching sold out capacity but at the time of this article are still available. You can purchase tickets through the StubWire website, at Aftershock, or through any of the bands that are playing.
