ABOUT THE AWARDS SHOW
The Project Backstage 2011 Midwest Rock Awards show is an annual event that takes place in the Kansas City area to recognize independent artists from around the Midwest. Independent artists from Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois are eligible to compete in the nomination and voting process. This is the only awards show in the Midwest, specifically for the Midwest, and that represents the fans of the music in both the nomination and voting process.
Information regarding each year’s award show will be released one month prior to the nomination process starting. Location and performers will be announced approximately 1 month prior to the start of the nomination process. Cost per ticket to the event is $12 in advance, $15 at the door. A nominal minor fee may be assessed by the venue at which the event takes place. The minor fee is for individuals under the age of 21 and is not part of the ticket price.
Sponsors, photographers, media and vendors wishing to take place in the awards show must contact us and receive pre-approval for admittance or attendance could be denied. The awards show in 2011 was sold-out prior to the date of the show, and we expect 2012 to be the same.
